(Medical Programme)
The Flying Clinic program is designed to serve as an air based medical platform extending out to populations in isolated parts of Africa. As hospitals in such regions are oftentimes poorly equipped and understaffed, bringing in a specialist doctor or surgeon by air, saves time and will make a difference to those who do not have access to regular medical attention. In such cases flight-aid's function is to supply the necessary material (aircraft) and personnel (pilots) to institutions that qualify. These services are provided to various hospitals, medical facilities and healthcare programmes that require aerial transportation on a regular basis, but that do not have the means to afford their own aircraft and pilots.
Periodical specialist visits, consultations, surgeries as well as consistent treatments and therapies, brought to people who live in remote areas, may greatly reduce the risk of epidemic outbreaks and may lower mortality rates. In effect, flight-aid's Flying Clinic program shall aid medical institutions and projects to achieve higher overall health standards in Africa, where time is a critical factor.
Summing it up:
- Dispatch of medical personnel and material to remote areas for medical on-the-field treatments and clinics
- Regular service
